Surfacing to post!

It's been a little busy around here. I have finished two more hats, two scarves, and went to work and all that... But this weekend I'm finishing my last gifts. I have to make three more bags, but here's the first one (for coworkers):

For a few nights, I did fall off the wagon and did nothing after work except read my various knitting books and attempt socks. Nothing to show, except I now have an official "sock WIP bag".

Although I have Monday off, I'm going in for the potluck at noon (and let me say, my family doesn't celebrate Christmas so it's not that I'm sad and lonely and missing my own family- literally, nary a card one is exchanged) to distribute gifts. Ahem. I was going to do that Friday but I left the box of wrapped presents at home- oh and I didn't have the bags made yet. I really am aware that I go a little nuts on presents for work just because I don't do presents for anyone else. It's kind of fun but I'm afraid I'd lose my mind if I tried to "do Christmas" for real. Yay for back-to-the-earth parents who didn't back down about raising their kids the way they found best.

Check out this fabric lining- it's Heather Ross and the fish have names! One of my favorites.

(ahem, yes, I even made a lined pocket! give me a few years and I'll be good at this)

And in case I get bored with the bags- a little variety in one last hat and one dishcloth (both are gifts that I've already told the recipient I'm making for them, so no huge deal if they are late).

Very impressive! I will be "in session" during the potluck, but I can't wait to see the bags for the nurses!
