Knitting

I really did sew some things recently, but I only have photos of knitting projects. I finished my mom's entrelac scarf. The entrelac is a really neat technique and I like the way it looks. Rowan Colourscape Chunky, Kaffe Fassett. The colors in the photo are washed out- it's much better in real life.

I also finished a hat that I've been working on since May. The yarn is from Portland Oregon, a small batch dye by a local fiber artist. The skein band is long lost so that's all the details I have on the yarn.

The pattern is Flowers Along the Path from a kit purchased in Anchorage at the Oomingmak Qiviut Store, modified with less pattern repeats. I really love the yarn and wanted to show it off.

Friday night I felt very brave and tried a new technique. I started my second sock with the Turkish cast-on. The socks might even be finished in time for me to wear them this year!

So far today, my only finished project is blueberry muffins with strusel topping. Mmmm.
