A week away

I was in Maine, and stuff. Very busy. Very important. I had to wear a disguise.

Luckily, I had gorgeous handmade socks to wear with my new nose. My birthday present from a wonderful friend.

Quick blanket

Today I learned about a feature on my sewing machine- it does this cool stitch! I'll look up it's name later but for now, it's a really nice edging to tack down a baby blanket.

I made this quick blanket from a kit from JoAnn's. I love that the fabric is all coordinated for me (something I have trouble with) and all I have to do is cut and sew.

My sweetie is making raspberry ice cream. Yay for late desserts!

Transformation

I have not given up on making a pair of felted slippers. But the first pair, well, I did decide they were not meant to be slippers.

Aren't these great potholders?

More canning

Blueberry-rhubarb jam, this weekend. And today we moved a few things to our friends' basement. Amazing when you live in a 950 square foot apartment, it really makes a difference to move a dresser, a chair, a desk, and a treadle sewing machine out. Um, or not so amazing when I think about it. But it's a lot nicer in our place now. We are even doing some more unpacking!
