Helen, the cleaning lady, asked me today if she should clean the table and pile of fabric in my bedroom on the bookcase. Her relief was palpable when I said no. Thank goodness for Helen who keeps my floors shiny clean so I can use them to lay out and cut patterns... If anyone can teach me how to say "thank you" in Polish, let me know!

Looks like my method of organization. Perhaps someone needs a trip to IKEA for a simple yet functional shelving unit.
Sarah, I have a comment and a question for you.
My comment: Polish for thank you is pronounced "Jan-coo-ya".
And my question: Do you have a favorite fabric store in the Chicagoland area? I'm wondering if I'm missing anything -I shop mostly at Vogue Fabrics in Evanston.
Kitty, thanks for the translation. I shop mostly at Vogue in Evanston, too- if I'm in the south loop I stop in the Vogue on Roosevelt and try to pop into Fishman's (right around the corner from them).
