procrastinating Sarah

Does anyone else, when faced with a pile of work to do, find laundry to be done and catch up on emails and reading blogs and oh, just about anything else? Because I took the weekend off by accident- went to JoAnn's and bought an outrageous amount of notions and fabric on sale, hung out with my girls a lot, and then my best boy came home Sunday night and we just hung out and rode bikes and basically played all day Monday...now I have all the work I was going to do before he got home still to do. It's vexing. That's obviously why I'm posting.

But I found something really cool- the flamingo bag works as a sewing machine tote! My spare machine has been intended for the boy's place ever since I got it, but I finally brought it over this weekend.

And I have promised myself that once I get half my work done, I can cut out my next skirt- a simple a-line from gray sheeting material. Durable, basic, and something I can wear to work and bike riding with equal ease.

I am a procrastinator, too. Right now I am procrastinating going to the store. How I dread it some days. I have a boy turning 7 tomorrow so I have to do some prepping for the big day.

Your sister did all the ironing today- putting off doing the picture restoration that I was supposed to be doing. And no, you do not want to know why I'm wide awake at 5am. Suffice to say I'm going to make a fantastic impression at the PTO meeting in 4.5 hours...sigh.

And, well, err...I don't know anything about procrastination. NOTHING, I tell you. I'm actually procrastinating finishing off my sweaters and I've already cast on Lehu's cardi-vest.

I'm so excited that you're joining us for the yarn diet (we're going to have to change the name so that it reflects your diet on fabric...is it cheating if I buy fabric to try out the sewing thing?!)! Now we really will have to start plotting about how to score some yarn and fabric gifts...:)

I understand now! Well, I'm glad that you are joining us for the yarn diet and that I can continue to check out the beautiful fabric that you purchase...:)
