I've been thinking about buying one of these for a while. I love it. Heat guns are fun! (yeah, yeah, dangerous and all- but note I'm very safe wearing my safety glasses. I even replaced the potholder with a proper pair of leather gloves after the second Home Depot trip.)
I'd done about half of the window frame using chemical stripper, and the heat gun took the gunk the chemical didn't get.
And after making a mess with paint I'd stripped off, it was time to buy the second toy:

Obviously, I'm outgrowing my apartment. The bikes are feeling the squeeze. *grin* And tonight, instead of sewing or quilting or doing any projects (or work) that I had planned, I continued stripping paint- this time using chemical, on the old dresser I bought last year. I had almost all the paint off and decided this weekend that I should finish. The only small obstacle is that I'm also using the dresser to hold craft stuff. Oh well, one drawer at a time...

Heat gun! You are packing heat!!! Don't forget that before you get into the project this weekend, you are going to the Chicago Sky WNBA game on Friday.
Dude.... does this work on all kinds of paint (i,e, oil or latex) because I will buy one tonight if it does. I HATE stripping paint but all of my windows need it.
