Here are some pictures from Maine, instead. My sister, her husband and son, my brother and his wife, and I decided our "big gift" for Mom & Dad's 40th anniversary would be us all home at the same time. We survived, and got a lot of work done.
It was fun, although the sewing I thought I'd get done in the evenings was put aside in favor of rest and reading. My nephew, suddenly huge, loves to read and most evenings that week were spent snuggled up together reading. I learned a lot about fire engines, animals, and have a whole new appreciate for how valuable those National Geographic books Mom & Dad bought us were. J's near-favorite, and definitely everyone's favorite to read to him, was the Sesame Street Library. We shamelessly pushed J to "go ask Grampy to read the Count in a funny voice!"
I miss Maine. Just a lot, just enough so everyone can notice it...

Oh, I'm so excited that I can comment now and thought that I had better get on it right away...I love the pics in this post and the new pic of you in the corner! Denise has decided that we should buy a digital camera this weekend, so the demand for knitting gratitude post on my very own blog may be following soon...I'll let you know! Oh, and I absolutely love "The Shell Seekers" also...:)
What a precious photo of you and your nephew! Excited that Mandy's getting a camera. What of that challenge to create a blog?!
