Yeah, who am I to let a little food poisoning get me down? Oh, right, I was down for the count for a couple of days. But anyway, I feel much better now. How better to celebrate than to stop in for a pair of dpns and come out with a bag full of yarn (it was 40% off and that's 3 balls of Rowan Big Wool you see under that great red/orange stuff)?

My friend CKG recently purchase a swift and a ball winder. Being a wonderful person as well as a great knitter, she let me use them. The blue is lace yarn from Cherry Hill Orchards, just waiting for a scarf. And the red is my souvenir yarn from Spain.

I leave Monday for a week in British Columbia- some time with family, some time skiing. Since I've eliminated my sewing machine from the packing list (really, I only considered it very briefly), I'm trying to figure out what yarn, needles, and books to take with me. I plan to do somewhat less skiing and somewhat more lounging than my friends I'm traveling with.

Have a great time in BC!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I love all your yarns. I bought a swift for myself at Christmas and I love it!
And my Ella is named for my beloved great-grandmother Ella.
