I'm off!

The hardest part of packing was picking what projects to bring. To soothe the separation anxiety, I swatched up my new yarn. It's lurve. True lurve at first swatch. Look at this beauty.

It was totally worth braving the flat-affect vs. mean woman and the nasty sweat smell at LYS (initials A.K. for those who know Lawrence Ave in Chicago). These lovelies were 40% off and I only bought 11. I'm not trying to suggest anything, but if anyone in the Chicago area wanted to swoop up about six more (I want a warm cozy sweater with cables, and it's a yarn hog) I would *wink wink* make it worth it to you. Well, normal people, I mean- ones who like new needles or special yarn or fun treats in addition to the cash they shelled out. No crazy people. The sale ends March 3, Monday.

And additionally, LYS known as A.K. is much more bearable when I started thinking of the flat-affect woman as perilously trying to balance her psych meds. Even if deep down I think she's mean.

I can't figure out what it is about yarn stores that seems to breed mean ladies! Almost everyone that I ever met through knitting has been a delight, but some yarn shop divas are serious betches!!!! Like, 1 in 2....
