Short row wonders

Tonight I learned about short rows. These booties are from the pattern by Knit Girl in Norway (Ravelry link), and she says these stay on her baby's feet. That's good for the giftees, but I'm more interested in the really cool way short rows make the booties all in one piece- just a back center seam to finish!

Learning to knit is really fun, and there's so much to explore.

One of these years (when I have run out of other things) I may learn to knit! Everybody I know who knits, enjoys it. Of course, that may only be because all the others gave it up!
